Grief Support Group

Grief can change the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a life chapter, your health, a dream, or something else meaningful to you, grief can bring waves of sadness, anger, confusion, loneliness, and uncertainty that can feel difficult to navigate alone.
Our Grief Support Group provides a supportive space to process your experience, connect with others who understand the complexities of grief, and develop practical tools to help you move through it. There is no single “right” way to grieve, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before joining.
Below are some of the key themes and skills we explore together:
Understanding Grief & Loss
Grief can take many forms, and loss can affect far more than what we initially expect. Together, we explore the different ways grief can show up emotionally, physically, and relationally, while making space for the unique experience each person brings to the group.
Making Space for Difficult Emotions
Grief can bring many emotions at once—sadness, anger, guilt, relief, fear, numbness, resentment, or even moments of joy. We create space to acknowledge these emotions without judgment and explore ways to move through them rather than feeling overwhelmed or needing to suppress them.
Practicing Self-Compassion
Grief can come with self-blame, regret, “what ifs,” and expectations about how we should be coping. We explore how to approach yourself with greater patience and compassion, especially during moments when grief feels particularly heavy.
Building Resilience & Coping Skills
Grief doesn’t follow a straight path. We explore practical tools for managing difficult moments, regulating emotions, grounding yourself, and navigating the ups and downs that can come with loss. The goal isn’t to “get over” grief, but to develop ways to carry it while continuing to care for yourself and your life.
Rebuilding Your Sense of Self
Significant loss can affect our identity and our sense of what comes next. Together, we explore questions about who you are now, what has changed, and what parts of yourself you want to reconnect with or rediscover. We work toward rebuilding a sense of meaning, confidence, and connection to yourself.
Navigating Relationships & Boundaries
Grief can change relationships in unexpected ways. We discuss how to communicate your needs, navigate relationships that may not understand your experience, set healthy boundaries, and seek support when you need it.
Finding Connection Through Grief
Grief can feel incredibly isolating, even when surrounded by other people. Group provides an opportunity to share your experience with others who are also navigating loss, while building connection and reducing the sense that you have to carry everything alone.
Finding Meaning & Moving Forward
Moving forward does not mean forgetting, minimizing, or leaving your grief behind. We explore what it can look like to create a meaningful life alongside your grief, reconnect with what matters to you, and find moments of hope, purpose, and even joy as you continue healing.
Why Join a Support Group?
Grief can feel lonely, and it can be difficult to explain your experience to people who haven’t experienced a similar loss. A support group offers the opportunity to be witnessed and understood by others while learning practical skills for navigating difficult emotions and life changes.
The group provides a supportive and confidential space to share, listen, learn, and connect at your own pace. You don’t need to be “done grieving” or know exactly what you need before joining—you simply need to be willing to show up as you are.
If you’re navigating grief or loss, you don’t have to do it alone. Our Grief Support
Group is currently enrolling.
